A funeral in the desert - Don Edinborough - Rest in peace 2001

Left: Don Edinborough
Right: Ed Penfold (Jr)

Don worked at the Rasor Road gas station for Terry Young from the late 80s until his death in 2001. Don lived in Jr's cabin located off the Mojave River trail behind the dust bowl.

We love you Don!  RIP

Orange County Keith, Jr & Terry met with some close friends of Don's at Jr's cabin at sundown for a funeral in the desert. In front of Jr's cabin, we had a make shift 5 hole golf course in the sand dunes. Don's favorite hole was the first hole. This is where we congregated with a bottle of his favorite drink (Crown Royal).

As the sun set, we offered many toasts to Don. We spoke about how he always had great stories to tell. Don would always offered anyone a firm hand shake with a smile and a cold beer!

After we said our goodbyes, we all sprinkled Don's ashes
Don was Jr's best friend, at the funeral... Jr wept

These are the only known photos of Don's funeral and they were supplied to us by Mike Fitzgerald, a close friend of Don's that attended the funeral with us. If you did not know Don, then this is just another page of useless photos.

But to know Don... Was to know Rasor Road!
